Rugby
Rugby is the major outdoor team game in De La Salle College. The
College fields enough rugby teams to afford every boy an
opportunity to play. The Leinster Senior and Junior School Cup
competitions are the highlight of the rugby year. De La salle
won the Leinster senior cup in 1983 and in 1985.
We field teams at the following levels:
- Under 13's (first year students)
- Under 14's (second year students)
- Junior (Third year students)
- Senior seconds/under 16
- Senior
Training for all teams takes place on Mondays and Thursdays
after school from 4:15 - 5:30.
Junior and senior teams may have extra traing sessions scheduled
as well as gym sessions.
Matches are played on a Wednesday afternoon for all teams.

Badminton
Badminton has had a welcome resurgence in the college of late,
with many students from all years taking part. Training and matches
take place after school in the sports hall.
Basketball
Basketball is a popular sport in the college, we have had recent
success in 2009 when our senior team won the All Ireland league
(division C). Training takes place in the sports hall.
Gaelic football
Gaelic football takes place in the College from March 17th
onwards when rugby season is over.
