Prize Night 2014 - Principal's Address

A chance encounter between a young priest and a zealous layman in Reims in France in 1679 led to the founding of an educational project which now operates on a worldwide basis. The layman, Adrien Nyel, who at that time was interested in setting up a school for poor boys in Reims, gladly welcomed the assistance of this educated, influential priest, John Baptist de La Salle. In this simple meeting, a unique Le Chéile congregation began. This congregation is known in Ireland as the De La Salle Brothers. [read more]

East Leinster Track & Field Championships, April 2014

Well done to the twelve students from Second, Transition and Fifth Year who represented the college at the East Leinster Track and Field Championships at Irishtown Stadium on the 29th and 30th April. The boys faced tough competition and did themselves proud. Many thanks to Ms Jordan and Ms Byrne for helping to get the boys to and from the races. [read more]

'When Henry Became Henri' is a wonderful short film shot by our French language assistant Maxime Allouche and starring 5th Year students from Ms Mazzucato's French class. The short film has been nominated for awards in several film festivals including the Limerick Film Festival Short Film Awards 2014. Well done to all involved. Excellent work.
