An end of year reflection from the Principal's desk.

Sunday, June 28, 2015

Another year completed in Salle. The College has been a strange place over the past few weeks, the silent corridors unnatural in a place that normally is full of life as students and teachers alike go about their business of teaching and learning. All are now on holiday enjoying a well deserved rest. It's time to look back and reflect on a busy year. De La Salle College is changing with the retirement of so many teachers over the past number of years and their replacement by so many new young teachers.Sixth years leaving and new First years coming to the College for the first time This is the nature of life to constantly change and keep on changing. School is just another reflection of this. During the year we finally got our leaking roof replaced which allowed us to paint and begin to have the school we all deserve. I would like to thank the majority of our students who have acknowledged the change and done their best to keep our new walls clean and unmarked. There will always be the few who can't resist making their mark but we can and will clean up. We hope that all will find an appropriate way of leaving their mark in Salle. [read more]
