Huge congratulations to Patrick MacGabhann and Paul O' Donnell of 5th year who competed in the East Leinster Track and Field Championships in Mortom Stadium, Santry last Saturday the 16th  of May.

Patrick had a fantastic race in the 1,500m, taking Silver in an impressive time of 4.06.19 min, and securing himself a place in the All Ireland finals.

Paul was up straight after him in the 5,000m and made a very brave decision to take a very fast early lead in the race. He held his lead until the last 1,000m, where he was caught and finished in 4th place with a time of 15.52.27 min. This was very good running by Paul who smashed his PB.

Well done to both students and best of luck to Patrick in the All Ireland's on 30th of May in Tullamore.

3rd year (Luke Nolan, Gerard McTague, Daniel McDermott) and 5th year students (Paul O' Donnell, Patrick MacGabhann, Mark O' Leary, Patrick Kearney, Dylan Finlay) competed in the East Leinster Track and Field Championships at Mortom Stadium in Santry.

All students did their school proud and returned home with some outstanding results. In particular, Patrick MacGabhann winning the Senior Boys 1500m with Paul O Donnell close behind him in 4th and Paul O' Donnell finishing 2nd in the Senior Boys 5,000m. Both Patrick and Paul will go onto to represent the college at the Leinster Championships on the 16th of May.
