What a roller-coaster the school year 2020-21 has been for our 6th Year cohort who are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! After months spent working so hard online, the uncertainties around the Leaving Cert exams and all their preparations for next year, those boys have certainly earned a nice summer break. The Accredited Grade process is well on its way, the boys have completed their subject courses and are putting the last touch to their revisions for the State Exams in June, after graduating from the college last week (always a very emotional celebration!!) . Graduating with masks on, with their parents and teachers following the event online, but graduating nonetheless!
Congratulations to all our laureates of the Graduation Award Ceremony. They have all worked so hard this year despite all the difficulties encountered, their courage and resilience must be commanded. Special congrats to Russel Flores and Cathal Kelly our 2021 Students of the Year and to Diarmaid Balfe and Enda Carberry for their Spirit of Salle awards.
We will miss this group so very much next year; their good humour, their dynamism, their positive attitude, their sense of fun...but their future is calling…
To our 6th Year boys, we wish you the very best of luck in all your endeavours; wherever you go, whatever you do, you will be De La Salle Boys, carry it with pride!
