A Week in Rugby!

We had a busy Wednesday afternoon this week with our 1st years playing at home to St. Conleths and our junor side playing away in a cup game versus Sandford Park School. Our juniors needed to dig deep and scored in the final minutes to proceed into the semi final of the Duff shield winning 15-19. The team were overjoyed with the win but interestingly immediately acknowledged they have the capacity to play better and will look to challenge themselves in preparation for their semi final versus Colaiste Chill Mhantain or St Columba's College. Best of luck to them in their preparation and keep working hard.

Our 1st years equally played well and have now recorded wins over the past two weeks and have shown a new found hunger to improve as a team. The final score of 53-25 and win over St. Columbas was full of exceptional performances from try saving tackles and impressive full length tries. The team's smiles and good times are indicative of the future to come. They are starting to learn the game and show signs of definite improvement. Well done again and keep working hard!
