Well done to TY-L English and Ms Lowry's 5th Year Religion class who took part in the Concern 2014 Writing Competition. This year the theme was 'Remembering Madiba - What Nelson Mandela Means to Me.'
Students were asked to respond with essays, stories and poems about how Nelson Mandela inspired them, as well as creating a visual collage within the school. Both classes took part in a writing workshop and spent time researching in the computer room and creating some artwork. Chosen entries will be included in a book which will be presented to the South African ambassador to Ireland.
