Well done to the twelve students from Second, Transition and Fifth Year who represented the college at the East Leinster Track and Field Championships at Irishtown Stadium on the 29th and 30th April. The boys faced tough competition and did themselves proud. Many thanks to Ms Jordan and Ms Byrne for helping to get the boys to and from the races.
Particular congratulations to Luke Nolan in 2.2 who finished 11th in the Junior Boys 1100m in a large field of 40 runners and Paul O' Donnell of TY who had top 10 finish in the Intermediate 1500m and placed 5th with a fantastic time of ten minutes and seven seconds in the intermediate 3000m. We also had Junior, Intermediate and Senior teams competing in the 4x100m relays as well as students competing in individual sprint and middle distance races.
Well done to all students who attended training every Tuesday after school throughout the year. Students of all abilities and from all years are welcome to take part in training, resuming next September, and those interested should contact Ms Lowry.
