Rugby is alive and kicking in De La Salle College Churchtown. Yesterday was a busy day with five schools participating in a 2nd year Leinster rugby blitz In De La Salle. The focus of the games and event was to have fun and keep all players active and healthy. The participants were Marion College, St Benildus, New Park Comprehensive, St Conleths and ourselves. The rugby on display was fantastic and we saw all teams produce performances they can be proud of. Well done to all teams!
At the same time our senior rugby players were playing in a 7’s tournament in Donnybrook stadium. They played three games and produced commendable performances with victories over St. Conleths, Marion College and Sandford Park School.
Seeing so many students playing a team sport and having great times together is very positive. We look forward to watching them grow over the years to come and continue to build a lifetime of good memories. WE ARE SALLE!
