Brian Jennings began his broadcasting career in 1985 with the pirate radio station Q102, where he worked in the newsroom alongside colleagues who would go on to become well-known RTÉ broadcasters, including Anne Cassin, Eileen Whelan, John Kenny and Niall Martin.

In 1988, RTÉ set up a short-term local radio service called Millennium Radio in Dublin's GPO arcade. Brian joined the news team and covered many of the events marking Dublin's Millennium year celebrations. When the station closed in 1989 Brian became a newscaster/reporter with RTÉ 2FM where he worked for many years as the early morning newsreader on the Ian Dempsey Show.

From there, he moved to a number of areas in the newsroom including the Oireachtas Unit and, as the main radio bulletin reporter, for the planning Tribunals at Dublin Castle. He joined the the Morning Ireland team early in the new Millennium.

Brian has worked in RTE for 28 years and is currently the news anchor on 'Morning Ireland' the most listened to programme in Ireland.
